FAQs
Can we come see you perform?
Mar. 1, 2010
We discourage this for the following reasons:
(#1) Most clients don’t want complete strangers showing up at their event and we want to honor our clients’ requests to have their events remain private. In addition, we would never bring complete strangers to your event.
(#2) It is very difficult for us to take time away from our current event to talk to a future client, since our full focus is to make our clients event perfect.
(#3) Your event is unique. Each event we do is different, from the music styles desired, to the guests themselves, to the amount of interaction requested. We customize each performance to suit each client, so what works for one, may not work for another. (For instance, if you attend one of our events where the bride & groom LOVES country & western music, but you HATE country & western music, you may fear that we are going to play the same type of music at your event, which is not true since every event is customized & completely different in design.)
(#4) Some Banquet Halls & Hotels don’t allow this anymore because of DJ Companies abusing this by bringing their friends to help themselves to your bar tab.
With all that said, as you can see, coming to see us perform at someone else’s event really gives you very little indication of how your event will be. We would, however, like to meet with you at our office in Lisle, and also invite you to visit our “references” page on this website to see what past clients are saying about our company. In addition, we have many videos on our website, and on our YouTube page for you to view.

Can we give you a “Do Not Play” List?
Mar. 1, 2010
Definitely! If you tell us not to play a specific song, or even a specific type or style of music, rest assured that “It will not be played.” The do not play list is equally important, if not more important, than the request list itself! We understand that you don’t want to hear particular songs or you may have been to one too many events where they play the “Same Typical Party Songs.”
Can you provide lighting and special effects?
Mar. 1, 2010
Yes. Each of our affordable packages come with various lighting effects, from simple, colored, “mood enhancing” lights and a mirrored ball lighting effect, to extravagant, intelligent lighting effects all at affordable prices. Keep in mind that lighting can help create an atmosphere in which your guests feel more comfortable to dance. If you decide that lighting is not appropriate for your event, we suggest just dimming the banquet room lights to make a comfortable setting for those dancing. We also have available bubble machines, smoke machines, confetti cannons, and party favors, as well as other exciting extras.
Can you provide music for my wedding ceremony?
Mar. 1, 2010
Yes! We have supplied music for MANY wedding ceremonies in the past years. We will go over the music selections for your ceremony at our meeting “one month before” your event. Our Experienced Wedding DJ Service can take care of it all.

Yes, we do. We have custom built a wedding wheel that is “more exciting,” “more fun,” and “easier to use” than the one most Wedding Djs Chicago , IL are using. Our wheel can also be customized to work at Mitzvahs, Company Parties, Birthday Parties, Aniversary events, Christmas Parties and Halloween Parties, as well as other holiday parties and events. Please contact us for more details and to hear our affordable prices.

Mar. 1, 2010
No. Our services are truly uninterrupted and non-stop. From our scheduled start time to our scheduled end time, we will never have to “stop” the music, which allows your guests to enjoy uninterrupted entertainment. With using a Wedding Reception DJ as an example, all your guests will then be more likely to stay longer.
Do you “sub-contract” out to other DJ’s ?
Mar. 1, 2010
We don’t use sub-contractors. We don’t depend on someone else to show up on time, with their equipment, their vehicle, and their music. We have it all, and it all leaves from our location. The benefit of working with our company is that you know who you’re working with at all times. Our DJs prefer to work exclusively for our company. Also, you never have to worry about getting “the new guy” or the “DJ-in-training.” You will have the opportunity to work with your specific mobile disc jockey every step of the way, having plenty of opportunity to share with him exactly how you’d like your event to be or not be.

How are you different from other DJ companies?
Mar. 1, 2010
In comparing apples to apples, our direct competitors are the professional Interactive DJs whose rates, service, talent and experience is similar to ours. We highly respect our competition because they are out working hard and giving up their weekends for the love of the business like we are, but there are many differences. Differences in party planning, standards, company procedures, work ethics, personalities & creativity, as well as differences in overall company and event design. We are able to bring our experience from over one thousand events that we have performed in the Chicagoland Areas to your one special night. This means we can take your vision of the perfect celebration and make it a reality. We’ve been entertaining for over 20 years; but there is nothing old about our company. Our systems are professional in appearance and state-of-the-art and, of course, our DJs are polished with experience, are fun and exciting to work with. We bring to your event our 100% music expertise, 100% entertainment experience, and 100% professionalism. The investment you make in hiring our Illinois Entertainment company reflects the high quality of DJ service that we bring to your event.
How can I prepare for our “follow-up“ meeting?
Mar. 1, 2010
1. Have your DJ Planner as finished as possible.
2. For weddings, have your bridal party list ready in the order you want your Wedding DJ to announce them.
3. Have your lists of “Play” and “Do Not Play” songs completed.
4. Optional – have a timeline sketched out. For example, start time and end time of your cocktail hour, dinner, when to do the cake cutting, etc. If you need help with this timeline, you can lean on our experience.
5. We’ll take care of the rest.

How do we budget for a DJ?
Mar. 1, 2010
Many of our clients will send us a payment every few months to put toward their balance because balances from other vendors are due “One Month / One Week” before the event which can be overwhelming. Many have told us that event budgeting works best when they make a list of “budget priorities”, or services that will have the most impact on the success of their event. Professional entertainment can contribute to over 85% of the success of your event and leaves a lasting impression for your guests. If you remember the last three weddings/events you’ve attended, the one thing you will likely remember the most is the entertainment, whether good or bad.
How do you handle music requests?
Mar. 1, 2010
We always make every effort to play all of YOUR requests. Also, we will provide a complete, printed listing of the music that we have for your guests to choose from. Where your Interactive DJs experience comes in, is knowing what music requests will entertain your guests, get them out on the dance floor, which are hard to dance to, and which may be a good “listening song” for 1-2 people. Don’t feel like you need to pick each and every song. Remember, that’s why you are hiring a professional in the first place. When picking out your “playlist” and “do NOT playlist”, keep in mind your guests interests as well, so that they will also enjoy the music at your event. Sometimes, you may have a request that we don’t have because it has never been requested before through us. In this case, we can either purchase that music (at no extra charge to you) or, if you want us to use a CD from your collection, we can do that as well. On your request list, simply indicate which songs you will be providing. You can bring your CDs to us at the start of the event and we’ll promptly return them to you at the end.
How do you know what music to play at what time?
Mar. 1, 2010
Experience, Experience, Experience. A very important ability of a DJ or a Wedding Reception DJ is to be able to “read the crowd,” keeping within the boundaries previously set forth in our planning meetings. We like to incorporate a variety of music for all ages at the party. Being able to pace your event and provide the right song at the right moment is more important than you might think! For example, knowing when to switch from 70’s disco to 80’s retro, knowing when to put on a slow song and how many is important to keep everyone interested until the last dance is important in keeping everyone interested till the last dance. Knowing the order and style in which the songs should be played and the way songs should be mixed together in order to keep the event flowing smoothly is also very important.
